The quiet village lies at the foot of the Albula Pass in the Engadin high valley. In the past, this unique location led to La Punt Chamues-ch becoming a trading hub. As a result, some beautiful, richly decorated Engadine houses were built, which today characterise the image of the village.
The two districts of La Punt and Chamues-ch are connected by a bridge over the Inn, creating a particularly idyllic atmosphere by the river.
