In the old part of the village there are pretty buildings decorated with sgraffiti. These facade decorations are worth a look. Stroll through the narrow streets and take a close look. Enjoy the appealing, cosy atmosphere.

Sights and activities

At the lake you will find a very special stone, the Nietzsche Stone. The philologist and philosopher often sat here on a stone by the lake in the 1880s and thought when he was not writing his works in Sils.

In addition, it is worth seeing the Crap da Sass castle - a neo-Romantic castle residence - from the outside. As it is privately owned, however, it cannot be visited.

The nearby mountain Corvatsch offers numerous opportunities for leisure sports. There are appealing skiing and hiking areas here. Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth on the lake near Silvaplana. Kitesurfing, SUP, windsurfing and more are possible.
