The Engadine Ski Marathon
The 55th Engadin Ski Marathon, which takes place on March 9, 2025, is the largest cross-country skiing event in Switzerland and attracts around 14,000 participants from over 60 nations every year. The 42-kilometre route leads from Maloja to S-chanf and offers breathtaking scenery over frozen lakes and through picturesque Engadin villages.
For those who prefer a shorter distance, the 16th Engadin Half Marathon over 21 kilometers from Maloja to Pontresina will take place on the same day. There will also be the 24th Engadin Women's Run on March 2, 2025 over 17 kilometers from Samedan to S-chanf, which is reserved exclusively for women. A special highlight is the 7th Engadin Night Race on 6 March 2025, in which participants complete the 17-kilometre route from Sils to Pontresina under moonlight and with headlamps.
